Honoring Your Legacy is Honoring God's Purpose on Your Life

By Dr. Krystal Henderson

Scripture Reference: Luke 12:48 NKJV- For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required, and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

You are enough! You are more than enough. You are created in His image. Sometimes we are tested. Our jobs test us, friends, family, spouses, and every other person or situation can be a test in your life. But remember, we are being sifted. “And the Lord said, “‘Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.’” Luke 22:31-32. I realized years ago that the experiences that I had growing up, from the schools I attended, the multiple living situations that I found myself in, to the interesting experiences I had at work, that God was sifting me. Yes, I experienced a lot as a child and young adult, but that sharpened me to be a tool in the army of God. Be encouraged! The tests that you are going through will truly make you stronger. The Lord is waiting for you to seek his face, he did not mean for you to travel the world alone. Invite him into your life and the challenges you will face will become smaller and smaller. The Lord is preparing us for something great! He is waiting for you to see what you are truly capable of. Do not lose focus on what He has promised you. He continues to give us so much, so be reminded that “for everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required, and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more” Luke 12:48. Be blessed and know that He is with you.
